Mason will be here SOON!
A lot has happened since my last post. I have had 2 Dr. appointments recently, and it has been determined that Mason is breech and is not going to be turning for delivery. Therefore, I will have a
c-section on October 28th. That's a week from tomorrow!!!
We are very excited about his arrival and have been trying to get everything ready for him. The nursery is finally FINISHED! I have been washing clothes, blankets, etc., and Ryan has put lots of things together and even found time to paint Mason a few paintings to go in his room.

Mason will also be here just in time to catch his first season of Gamecock football! :)

34 Weeks and COUNTING....
It's my 34th week, and I am definitely counting down the days! I am still feeling good, but Mason is growing now and I feel like I am at max capacity. Doctor appointments are now every 2 weeks, and my next appointment is on September 29. We will also be having an ultra sound done at 36 weeks, which I am really excited about. I can't wait to see how big he has gotten.
This Saturday, Sept. 24, I will be traveling to Cheraw for the day for a baby shower given by the Brigman and Sollenberger families. I am excited about getting to see all my family members. It should be lots of fun! :)
We are still working on the nursery, and the goal is to be done within the next few weeks. We are only missing a dresser and a few more detail type items. We are also awaiting some paintings by daddy for the walls. Hopefully Ryan will have some time to get those done on his next set of off days (he has been working A LOT lately).
Lastly, Ryan did a great job on my mom's rocking chair, and I am so grateful to be able to have it in Mason's room. Here's a few new pictures from the nursery...
The Brigman and Sollenberger families gave me a shower in my hometown of Cheraw in September. It was great to see all my family members and friends. Everything turned out great! :)

Mason's First Shower- 8/27/2011
On Saturday, August 27th, my closest friends hosted a couples BBQ/Shower for us! THANK YOU to the hostesses: Rachel Bourne, Sarra Furr, Katie Johnson, Kristen Bennett, Lesley Jean McLean, Natalie Work, and Sara Ingram! Special thanks to honorary hostess, Sue Ella Bourne for keeping the girls straight, Burney Bourne for cooking the BBQ, and Ms. Jean McLean, who also helped with the cooking. The food was GREAT! Ryan and I are so grateful for everything. I couldn't ask for better friends! Love you all!
The shower was from 7:00-10:30 (although, Ryan and I didn't get home until 1 AM!...) We had so much fun catching up with everyone, and didn't even realize how late it had gotten! Upon getting home, he HAD to put together Mason's new stroller. He likes to get things taken care of right away! Honestly, I love that about him, especially since I am so impatient these days! Works out perfectly! :) After the assembly, we both played around in the nursery for awhile, so needless to say it was a LONG, but EXCITING night!
Mason received lots of wonderful gifts! Some of which included: Gamecock gear (so he will be ready for football season), lots of cute new clothes, a baby monitor, a travel set (stroller and car seat), a few pieces of his crib bedding, a handmade blanket, and of course, diapers!
